Statement Regarding the Coronavirus

The Library is carefully monitoring the rapidly evolving situation involving the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Our first priority is ensuring the health and safety of our patrons, staff, and community. Therefore, we are taking precautionary measures to be diligent in taking steps to thoroughly clean and maintain the building. High traffic areas and frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, tables, and other hard surfaces will be cleaned throughout the day. Hand sanitizer is available for public use.

We ask that our patrons and staff follow the recommendations set forth by the US Center for Disease Control (CDC). This includes:

  • Washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use hand sanitizing products if you are unable to wash your hands.
  • Cover your sneeze, cough, or yawn with a tissue and immediately dispose of the tissue.
  • Avoid touching your face, eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are ill.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Older people and those with severe chronic conditions should take additional precautions outlined here:

At the current time, the Library remains open during normal business hours and there have been no changes to the library schedule or cancellation of library activities. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.

If you are unable to visit the Library, please visit for a variety of online services such as OverDrive for ebooks and audiobooks, Kanopy to stream over 30,000 films, Zinio for digital magazines, online instructor-led courses through Gale, and a variety of reference databases.
