Kanopy is an online video streaming platform with 30,000 movies. This includes documentaries, indie, and foreign films from over hundreds of producers including The Criterion Collection, The Great Courses, Kino Lorber, PBS, and thousands of independent filmmakers. Users are limited to 5 videos streamed every month. Download the app or visit hicksville.kanopy.com to sign up with your valid Hicksville Public Library card.

You can also stream films from Roku, iOS, and Android devices using the free Kanopy app, which is available from your device’s app store.

Getting Started

Click on the image above or visit https://hicksville.kanopy.com to get started and create your account.

Once you arrive at the site click on "Sign Up" in the top right corner to begin creating your account.

Create an account using one of the following three methods: Facebook, Google, or email address. If you already have an account, simply click the orange "Log in" button and enter your information. You will only have to do this once!

If you have registered with an email address, you will need to go to your email inbox and verify your address. Once your email is verified, or if you used Google or Facebook to login, head to Kanopy and add your Library card number and PIN.

Final step! Enter your Library card number and PIN number here to finish setting up your Kanopy account. If you do not know your PIN number stop in to the Library and ask a librarian or give us a call (ex.124).

You are now ready to stream videos!
