Hicksville Archives

The Hicksville Archives is looking to borrow and/or acquire the following High School yearbooks for a digitization project to make the past accessible to all: 1958, 1985, 1993, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012

We are also investigating the possibilities of yearbooks from the local grammar schools (East Street, Old Country Road, St Ignatius etc) the Middle School and Holy Trinity. If anyone has these books, please contact the Hicksville Library and ask for…in order of availability… James Janis, Janet Hageman or Joanne Gramaglia. 516 931-1417 Ext. 101. 

SUMMER READING CLUBS FOR KIDS, TEENS AND ADULTS!

 

Reading can open a Universe of Stories! Broaden your horizons with some great

reads and have the chance to win some prizes!

All ages included!

Children (3 year olds – 5th grade)

  • Register for one of two reading clubs (those who are read to and those

who read on their own) starting June 24thin the Children’s Room.

Library Budget Passed

The 2019-2020 Library budget passed with 936 yes votes to 276 no votes. Joanne Curran Perrucci has been elected to the Board of Trustees. Thank you for your support. 

Hicksville Library Closures

The Hicksville Public Library will be closed on Sundays starting May 26th and will reopen on Sundays starting October 6th.

Star Wars Event

All are welcome to this library-wide event. A list of some of our activities are below. Please note that all activities are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Refreshments and prizes will be given out throughout the day as supplies last.

Notary Vacation

The Notary Public will be on vacation Friday, February 15 to Monday, February 25. Please call to schedule an appointment after her return.

February Board Meeting

The February board meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 20 at 6:00 PM. Due to the inclement weather it has been pushed up 1 hour from its original time which was 7:00 PM.

The Children's Room will be closed until further notice for carpet replacement and various improvements. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause however we are working to improve this area for your future enjoyment.
